Atlanta Soul

Established in the early/mid nineties, the Atlanta Soul band have long enjoyed the reputation as Manchester's premier Funk/Soul band.

This eight piece (occasionally 9 piece, and more) Soul Band are a well established group of musicians who add a vibrancy and style of their own to the Soul and Funk classics that make up their impressive repertoire - with tunes from Stevie Wonder, through the eclectic Funk of James Brown, the Northern Soul of The Show Stoppers (House Party), to Wild Cherry (Play that Funky Music).

Atlanta Soul are top-class entertainment, whether it be in large palaces and country mansions such as Hampton Court Palace and Thoresby Hall, for private functions, outdoor events such as the Heinekin festivals, corporate events, whether at the NEC, or hotels, such as the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London, or in the intense, vibrant atmosphere of nightclubs such as the legendary Band On The Wall. They were selected by the BBC to play the closing night party in the media centre following the Commonwealth Games in Manchester.

The infectious groove of the hottest rhythm section, the slamming horn section, and the most soulful vocals is irresistible. Whatever the occasion, the Atlanta Soul band provide the perfect party/celebration, good time experience. Oh yes!
